Dee Dee is a devoted public servant with over forty years of experience working for the State of Maryland and private sector business. Dee Dee understands Allegany County; its challenges and its strengths. Her deep roots in Allegany County drive her passion for civic engagement and transparent leadership. She believes that effective governance starts with listening, and she is dedicated to delivering results that prioritize our families, support local businesses, and preserve the unique character of our community. Dee Dee is devoted to being a full-time Commissioner and looks forward to serving the constituents of Allegany County.
Dee Dee earned two master's degrees from Frostburg State University, right here in Allegany County. She earned her Master's in Education and a Master of Science in Parks and Recreation Resource Management. Upon graduation, Dee Dee began her career with the MD Department of Natural Resources as a Natural Resource Planner. She devoted ten years as an adjunct professor at Frostburg State and served Garrett County as their Circuit Rider. Dee Dee's expansive experience has given her the opportunity to impact many areas in Allegany County and from land preservation to impactful projects such as the Footer's Dye building and the River Park Project. Dee Dee has made it her mission to improve the life of residents in Allegany County long before she decided to run for County Commissioner.

I am running for Allegany County Commissioner because I believe our county deserves
full-time leadership that is present, engaged, and accountable to the people every single
day.
My campaign is about representation—real representation—in every corner of Allegany
County. Whether you live in our cities, our towns, or our rural communities, your voice
matters, and it deserves to be heard equally.
Transparency is another cornerstone of my service. The public has a right to know how
decisions are made, how resources are used, and what the future holds. I am
committed to open communication and honest leadership.
We must also focus on responsible economic growth—supporting local businesses,
attracting new opportunities, and creating jobs that allow families to thrive right here at
home.
Public safety is non-negotiable. I will work to ensure our law enforcement, first
responders, and emergency services have the tools and support they need to keep our
communities safe.
And finally, education is an investment in our future. Strong schools and workforce
development are essential to building a stronger, more competitive county.
I am running to serve—full time, with integrity, and with a commitment to every resident
of Allegany County. Together, we can build a future that works for all of us.
